The idea for My Everyday Mantra came from my own struggles with postpartum depression following the traumatic birth of my son. Today, my son is a happy and healthy boy and so is his mama. :) It was a journey and I would like to share the inspirational mantras and artwork I created during that time that helped me get through it.
Whenever I felt overwhelmed, I would often try to remember things my yoga teacher would say at the end of class as a way to stay grounded. Even though I wasn't always feeling great, I would persist and go through my usual activities and try to stay above it all.
One day, while stuck in traffic on the way home from work - staring at a sea of traffic, anxious about being late - I found that all I needed was a way to clear my mind and relax.
It was then that I came up with the idea of My Everyday Mantra window clings: uplifting and simple reminders that life is a journey, and we're all doing our best to get through it.
With My Everyday Mantras I've taken my original artwork and combined it with universal words of healing and encouragement. I hope that wherever you are in life, you find something here that helps you slide over the humps, and reaffirm the beauty we are living in every moment.
